Engr. Md. Ziaul Hoque is a seasoned Mechanical Engineer and a visionary leader in
technical education, currently serving as the Principal (In-Charge) and Senior Instructor at the Bangladesh Institute of Marine Technology (BIMT). With a career spanning over two decades, Engr. Hoque has dedicated his professional life to advancing Marine Technology and TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) standards in Bangladesh under the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare & Overseas Employment.
A graduate of Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET), his technical foundation is bolstered by specialized certifications in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT Level-I), CNC Machining, and ISO-9000 Quality Management. His professional journey is characterized by a "problem-solving by heart" philosophy, moving from hands-on instruction in diesel technology to high level institutional administration across multiple districts, including Sirajganj, Bagerhat, and Narayanganj.

Engr. Hoque brings a significant global perspective to his work, having participated in
advanced maritime and vocational training programs in Italy, Germany, China, and Malaysia. These international experiences have allowed him to implement world-class TVET models and maritime management strategies within the Bangladeshi education system. Beyond his administrative and technical roles, he is an active member of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) and is highly proficient in public
procurement regulations (PPA/PPR), ensuring that his leadership is both technically sound and administratively transparent.
